“The thought of managing an on-line conference with multiple spoken and signed languages felt overwhelming to me. Tom met with me and discussed what our International Working Group of Pastors with Deaf People (IEWG) needed and what we hoped from the event.
Before the event itself, Tom made sure all the sign language interpreters received links to the interpreter “booths” on Zoom so that participants would be able to access the sign language they needed.
He managed all the tech on the day, including on-screen instructions in several different languages to help our participants and a link to an online form to receive feedback during the conference. Everything went very smoothly, enabling me to give my full attention to the conference content.
